Itinerary

Day 1Arrive Cairo

Arrival to Cairo airport, our representative will meet you in the airport then you will be transferred by an A/C car to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo

Day 2The Pyramids & Egyptian Museum Tour - Camel Ride

Breakfast. Start your tour visiting the Egyptian Museum of antiquities. On display is rare collection of 5000 years of art the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Including an exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry. Visit the Great Pyramids – Cheops, Chephren & Mykerions & Sphinx. Back to the hotel. Enjoy your camel ride, you will enjoy special panoramic views of sphinx & Pyramids. Hear about all the hidden stories of Pharaohs life. I will give you hints and details that you cannot find on books! (Optional) Evening trip to attend the Sound & Light show in the Pyramids area. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3Sakkara & Dahshour Tour

Breakfast. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel. Move to visit the Step Pyramids of Zoser, the world’s oldest major stone structure. It was built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser. After that transfer to Memphis which was founded by King Menes, and was the capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom, it was considered to be a center of rule and culture for over 3000 years the first capital of Egypt, and see the Statue of Ramses II. On your way to the south you will visit the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid at Dahshur. Back to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 4Interlaken Area. Excursion to The Jungfrau Massif

An unforgettable trip to the high Alpine wonderland of ice and snow is the true highlight of a visit to Switzerland. Globus Local Favorite At an amazing 11,332 feet, the JUNGFRAUJOCH is Europe’s highest railway station. Jungfrau’s 13,642-foot summit was first ascended in 1811 and in 1912 the rack railway was opened. There are lots of things to do here: enjoy the ALPINE SENSATION, THE PANORAMA 360° EXPERIENCE, and the ICE PALACE. Also receive your JUNGFRAU PASSPORT as a souvenir to take home with you. The round trip to the “Top of Europe” by MOUNTAIN TRAIN will take most of the day.

Day 5Lake Geneva and Château de Chillon

It’s market day in Lausanne! Enjoy browsing and packing a picnic lunch for our 11 a.m. boat cruise on Lake Geneva. A few miles down-shore we’ll dock at Château de Chillon, where we’ll have a guided tour of this delightfully medieval castle on the water. On our way back we’ll take time to peek into the vineyards surrounding Lutry before returning to Lausanne. Boat: 2 hrs. Bus: 1 hr. Walking: moderate.

Day 4Citadel & Old Cairo Tour

Breakfast. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel. Move to visit Salah El Din Citadel which was constructed by Salah El Din on the Moqattam hills in 1183 AD to defend Cairo from the armies of Crusaders. After that visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque which was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came specially from Istanbul and built this great mosque for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Over 45 years. Then proceed to Visit Old Cairo where you will enjoy, the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, Church of St. Barbara, Church of Abu Serga. Finally move for shopping at Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Back to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 5Luxor East Bank Tour – Nile Cruise

Breakfast. Transfer to the domestic airport. Departure by the plane to Luxor. Arrival, meet your guide and start a tour to the Luxor Temple to see its courtyard and the granite statues of Ramses the Great. Proceed to Karnak, which is a serious of temples built in different reigns. Starting by the Avenue of Sphinxes visit the Unfinished Propylon, the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 gigantic columns, the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutomosis III, the temple of Amon adorned with lotus and papyrus designs, the Granite Scarbeus of Amenophis III and the Sacred Lake. Day 6Luxor West Bank Tour - Valley of The Queens

Breakfast on board. Visit the West Bank, drive to the Valley of Kings; visit the tombs of various Dynasties. King Tut’s tomb is with extra ticket. Continue to Visit the Valley of the Queens, known as Ta-Set-Neferu “The Place of Beauty”. The valley served as a necropolis for the tombs of royal family members and the elite, with about 90 tombs belonging to Queens and princes of the ancient Egyptian New Kingdom (1550-1070 BC). whilst here, you will have a chance to visit the magnificent colorful tomb of queen Nefertari (Extra Ticket) The Temple of Deir El Bahari of Queen Hatshepsut. On the return journey stop at the Colossi of Memnon which are two gigantic sitting statues representing Amenopis III facing the Nile. Lunch on Board. Sail to Esna. Dinner on board. Overnight in Esna.

Day 7Esna - Edfu

Breakfast on board. Visit The Temple of Esna. Sail to Edfu; visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Lunch on board. Sail to Kom Ombo. Afternoon Tea. Disco Party. Overnight in Kom Ombo.

Day 8Aswan Tour - Nubian Village

Breakfast on board. Sail to Aswan. Start you tour visiting: The Philae temple Sail by a motorboat to the island of Agilkia. Visit the temple that was removed from their original island of Philae which lies submerged most of the year by the waters of Lake Nasser. The main Temple of Isis and its monuments were built between the 26th-dynasty and the Roman period. Then sail on the nile by motorboat to experience life in a traditional Egyptian village on this Nubian village tour. Leave the city behind and cruise to a Nubian village nestled on the west bank of the Nile River. Admire fine views over the riverside scenery, and visit a Nubian village to gain insight into local customs and culture. Nubian village located on the west bank of the Nile River. Day 9Aswan – Felucca Ride

Breakfast on board. (Optional not included) Departure to visit the Temple of Abu Simbel, The colossal Temple of Abu Simbel built by Ramses II (XIXth. Dynasty) and lately saved from inundation of the Nile waters in among the glories of ancient Egyptian monuments. The temples were built out of a sandstone rock cliff, and representation of the deities to which each was dedicated is carved on its huge façade. Nearby, also saved, lies the small Temple of the King’s wife Nefertari, dedicated to the goddess Hathor. Back to Aswan. Breakfast on board. Our guide will pick you up to start a day tour to enjoy a second visit to the West bank to visit the Remseum, Medinet Habu and the Workers village which includes Der el-Madina. Dinner on board. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 12Disembarkation – Dandara & Abydos Tour

Breakfast. Disembarkation. Our guide will pick you up and you will be transferred by an A/C vehicle to discover the ancient sites. First, visit Abydos, the ancient Egyptian believed of god (Lord of the underworld) to be buried there. The temple was built by King Seti I, and completed by King Ramsess II, known as temple of Seti I. It is located in Abydos city about 420 km to the south of Cairo in Sohag Government, and 135 km from Luxor. The paintings of the Gods and Pharaohs on the walls of the Osiris Temple at Abydos are among the most beautifully preserved in Egypt. Then continue to Dandara to visit the Temple of Hathor, goddess of love and joy. The temple is located in Dandara which is situated at the north of Luxor. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 13Luxor – Hurghada

Breakfast. Departure by A/C car to Hurghada, Arrival, and transfer to your hotel. Free day. (Optional not included) You will be picked up from the hotel in Hurghada or El Gouna by Toyota landcruiser 4×4 WD, then driven 35 km in the Eastern desert of Egypt to a Bedouin village for a tour to see their life, traditions then you will ride a camel and witness the amazing sunset view with barbeque dinner, mineral water and soft drinks included, watching stars by night while driving back from Bedouin village to your hotel in Hurghada. Overnight in Hurghada.

Day 14Hurghada

Breakfast, Free day. (Optional not included) Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Hurghada or El Gouna for a fantastic snorkeling trip with desert island relaxation on the beautiful Red Sea, where we will do our snorkeling in different spots which are full of corals and magnificent colorful fish with a chance to swim with dolphins, enjoying the water sports activities on Giftun Island and the national park with open buffet lunch aboard the cruise then return back to the jetty and then transferred to your hotel in Hurghada. Day 16Hurghada - Alexandria

Breakfast, Free day. Transfer to the domestic airport. Departure by the plane to Alexandria. Arrival & transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Alexandria.

Day 17Alexandria Tour

Breakfast. Start the tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit it’s open court and free museums. Then visit the Site of the Lighthouse; one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World on which now stands the castle of Qaitbey. Visit the royal gardens of King Farouk (the last king in the history of Egypt) and see the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek as well as the royal beaches of the queens. Continue your tour by visiting the prettiest and biggest mosque in the city: the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, as well as the memorial of the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria and the statue of Alexander the Great. You can then stop for lunch (Optional) before visiting the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa before driving along the Cornish (30 km) to see the whole city of Alexandria from the sea side which includes the old harbor of Alexandria where we found 7000 monuments underwater. Stop over the famous bridge of Stanley – the modern landmark of modern Alexandria, before visiting the old downtown of Alexandria and walking through the old city-center of Alexandria: built by Alexander the great. Day 18Al Alamein Tour

Breakfast. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel, start full day visit to Al Alamein. Learn about Rommel, the Desert Fox, and other figures of WWII who fought in Egypt, Drive for 1 hour to Alamein to visit the War Museum of Alamein, which includes the old weapons, tanks, flights, and bikes used in the World War. Also the descriptions actions of Montgomery, Rommel and the others participated in the battle are all on display. Then you will continue your way to the West of Al Alamein a beautiful town overlooking the Mediterranean sea to visit the World War Cemeteries where you will see the citadel looks like cemeteries is the final resting place for Common wealth, Greek, Italian and German soldiers. Day 19Rosetta Tour

Breakfast. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel then transfer to visit Rosetta. Driving for 60 km To see the simple life of Rosetta and start your Over day to Rosetta from Alexandria. Upon your arrival you will take a motor boat in the Nile where you will see the meeting point of the Nile and the Mediterranean and see the castle where Rosetta stone was found, It was discovered in 1799.
